About Our Bishop  
Dr. Charles E. Burger, Pastor and Founder of Rejoice Praise & Worship Center has a tremendous passion for spreading the gospel and a great love for God’s people Having received his mandate from God, Dr. Burger committed to the pastoral call with the vision of “a healing church for hurting people” and in October of 2000 Rejoice Praise and Worship Center opened its doors and heart to the community of Columbus Ohio. Since beginning his walk with Christ Dr. Burger has devoted himself to the service of the Lord and has served in many capacities. Before receiving the call to serve in the pastoral ranks, Dr. Burger was blessed to train and serve at Greater Bethlehem Temple under the late Bishop Walter Jones. During his 27 years at Greater Bethlehem Temple Dr. Burger faithfully served both the Youth Department and Sunday School Department. In preparation for ministry, Dr. Burger studied under Dr. Aycott while attending the Ohio School of Biblical Theology and went on to receive his Doctorate Degree in Theology from Union University in Pasadena California .On July 2012 Dr. Charles Burger was Ordained to the office of Bishop with the Abundant Life Christian Fellowship Intl. In addition to his devotion and service to God, Dr. Burger is the attentive husband to Evangelist Lillian Burger and father to six children all of whom are serving in ministry. Dr. Burger has been afforded the opportunity to preached the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the United States and abroad. As well as seeing the church strengthened and grow in discipleship, it is the desire of Dr. Charles Burger to see a lost and hurting humanity healed though the love of God.

What We Believe 

        The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. There is one God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost manifested in Jesus Christ. In the death burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. The baptism in Jesus’ name in accordance with Acts 2:38.The baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
